New Balance Women's Fresh Foam 1080v10

My “learn to run” coach referred me to Black Toe for shoes. I am so glad I took the advice. After examining all the elements of my stride/step electronically, the staff recommended the perfect shoe... actually there were 3 excellent pairs to choose from. These particular shoes were my top pick for comfort, cushioning and fit. They slip on more like a running sock than a typical running shoe. The cushioning and contouring at the back of the shoe is especially nice.

I wore the 1080v8 for a few years (bought two pairs because they were so great for me). Wide foot (no more blisters, or at least significantly less blisters and they’re not nearly as painful) and very easy to break in. They stopped making the v8 (and v9, if that exists). So I tried the v10. I get a little bit of fatigue at the ball of the foot after about 8 k. So many it needs a little breaking in. But I’m loving them so far. Great long distance shoe

These New Balance 1080s have been very comfortable and supportive during long runs. They are still nice and light even while providing great support. They are definitely a great distance shoe.

It took a few runs for my feet to be totally comfortable - the feel is slightly different than the Sauconys I was wearing before. The footbed contours are just right for me. And stylish!
