An unfortunate instance of: they felt better in the store than on the street.
I was pretty hopeful about these shoes after trying on about a half dozen pairs with the (impressively patient) team at the store. I thought I'd locked in on something that was really going to be nice on my feet. The shoe felt comfortable, snug but flexible, and soft soled without being spongy. I was excited and expecting a really great ride.
I've logged 75km in them now over 6 runs, and unfortunately they haven't been as great in action as they promised in store. The sole rides harder than it feels when trying on, the upper is not as flexible as I'd thought, and the heal not as snug, making it difficult (for me) to get a good heel lock without constricting my mid foot in an uncomfortable way.
If I'm doing speed work, the issues seem to be less but overall, for my feet at least, they're a bit of a miss.
