Don’t worry about the rain coming down in buckets. Forget fretting about that whipping wind. Sure, it’s damp, dumping and possibly dropping cats and dogs but when there are trails to forge and miles to amass, you can go for it, all of it. Layered in insulated warmth, loaded with intrinsic speed and traction and gifted with GORE-TEX, it’s the trail shoe that nature fears most, the one that helps keep out the elements for good.
I've been using the Pegasus Trail for my winter running shoes for the past few years, upgrading to the 5 this year. Good traction for snow, slush, dirt, and mud, but not too clunky for clear sidewalks, either. (they won't help much on ice) They're a bit stiff & slightly heavy, so you won't set any PBs with these, but they'll keep you going through cold, snow, slush and rain.
I bought these shoes to continue running outside during the winter and it works great !
