You're officially part of the crew! Before your first run with us, please take five minutes to complete the steps below.

Select the run club you signed up for below. This is important! It links you to the right coach, WhatsApp group, and sign-up forms for your club.

Follow the steps below to get set up on TrainingPeaks, join our WhatsApp community, and sign your waiver.

Update Your Threshold Pace. TrainingPeaks utilizes a structured workout feature in addition to the workout description.
The benefit of the structured workout is that the workout can prescribe individualized target pace ranges for each workout. These can also be synced to your smart running watch (details on how to sync your watch can be found here).
The individualized target pace ranges are based on threshold pace (which translates to roughly the pace you can hold for 1 hour, or your 2nd lactate threshold (LT2)).
The good news is that you can get a very good estimate of your threshold pace from any recent race or time trial and TrainingPeaks will calculate it for you automatically.
Here's how to do it:
- Log into TrainingPeaks
- Go to "Settings"
- Go to "Zones"
- Go to "Speed/Pace"
- Scroll past Default Speed/Pace and select "Run" and select "Add"
- Under Auto Calculation "Choose Type" select "Distance / Time"
- Under "Choose Method" select "80/20
- Running" (80/20 Running provides the most options for race distances so is the best to pick for this purpose)
- Then select your race distance (1 mile, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon) and enter your time or pace
- Then click "Calculate"
- Click "Apply"
- Save and exit settings
Here's a quick video overview on the desktop (web app). But you can also do it on the mobile app.
Race updates, group run reminders, community challenges, photos from the roads. Request to join and a team member will approve you shortly.

We have four training plans a year:
- Two 18-week training plans that build towards a goal race in spring and in fall.
- Two shorter base-building plans between seasons.
In all of the training plans, you will have your workouts scheduled for each week, including the weekly coached team workout.
The King West Tuesday Run Club group leaves the store every Tuesday at 6:30 pm!
For company on your weekly scheduled Long Run, you can use our free community long run, which leaves the store at 8:30 am every Sunday (unless communicated otherwise due to weather or races).
There is also a team tempo on Fridays at 6:00 pm! Routes for long runs and tempo runs are posted weekly in our Strava group.
For Basic Membership plans, special training for interim races will not be included in your plan. Additional customization of plans to incorporate interim races can be purchased via our Advanced Coaching options.
Enhanced Coaching Package (part of all enhanced run club subscriptions):
- All benefits of Run Club Membership
- 4 private emails with the Coach per month
- Fully Customized Plan 2 x per year with one goal race per season (Spring/Fall) of your choice (does not have to line up with Toronto team goal races)
- Detailed race plan for a goal race
Basic Coaching Package members can choose to upgrade(!)
Advanced Coaching options: if you so desire, you can upgrade to our ENHANCED coaching package for an additional $60/month. There is also a One-Time Coaching consultation service that you can purchase anytime:
Enhanced Coaching Package for Run Club Members (minimum one season, 6-month, commitment) – $110/month ($49 for Basic Membership plus $60 for Enhanced customization).
One–Time Coaching Consultation – $150: Any runner can spend up to one hour with a BlackToe Coach and review running history and goals. The Coach will then provide a written summary of your discussion. This consultation is available to non BlackToe Athletes or BlackToe Athletes who are on the basic group plan, but want race plans or training plan enhancements.
If you ever need to see your membership details or want to update your payment information, click the link below to log in to your account. You can also cancel your membership via this portal if you ever need to, but please note there is a 3-month minimum initial commitment.
