Sabastian Sawe ran 1:59:30, the first official sub-2 marathon in history and a new world record. Yomif Kejelcha came second in 1:59:41, also in the Evo 3. Tigst Assefa won the women’s race in a women-only world record of 2:15:41. Same shoe.

Berlin

Tigst Assefa again, this time in a course record of 2:11:04. Guye Adola won the men’s race in 2:02:50, and the Evo 3 took all six podium spots. Every one of them.
