Shoe Specifications

Designed to help you increase your speed by lengthening your strides while conserving energy with each step.

The METASPEED™ SKY TOKYO shoe is ASICS' pinnacle racing product, designed for stride-style runners who are looking to start fast and finish faster. Runners wearing these shoes will be able to increase their speed by lengthening their strides while conserving energy with each step. The newly designed FF LEAP™ foam technology is super lightweight and bouncy. It's strategically positioned in the midsole's bottom layer to help provide more cushioning and a higher energy return. The top layer of the midsole implements FF TURBO™ PLUS cushioning. This configuration enhances the foam's responsive properties while creating better stability during the landing phase of your stride. Thanks to a higher plate positioning and a thicker midsole thickness through the toe area (when compared to the METASPEED™ EDGE TOKYO shoe), you'll experience a higher energy return and an extended stride length. This property will help you to kick-through the 30km wall and maintain your pace at the later stages of the race.

Product Highlights

MOTION WRAP™ 3.0 upper - A lightweight technical engineered woven material that helps lock the foot onto the shoes platform.
FF LEAP™ cushioning - This midsole foam is super bouncy and lightweight. It's designed to help provide a higher energy return and better cushioning under the forefoot area.
FF TURBO™ PLUS cushioning - This midsole foam is extremely lightweight and bouncier than FF TURBO™ cushioning. It's designed for an even more advanced energy return and cushioning experience during your run.
Carbon plate - A plate that helps you enhance the energy return from the midsole by increasing the deformable foam volume under the plate, thanks to the wide shape and higher position in the forefoot part.
ASICSGRIP™ outsole rubber - ASICS' proprietary outsole that provides advanced grip on a variety of terrain.
The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology.
